Bali has taught me to look at things differently. The island has its own rhythm a quiet determination that forces you to be present. Here, I found not only inspiration but also a different kind of calm, one that creates space for curiosity, for questions, for growth.

I’ve always believed that cooking is more than creating dishes. It’s a way of thinking, feeling, and connecting. With nature, with the people around me, and with the story behind every ingredient.
Syrco BASÈ is my attempt to make that connection tangible.

What I want to show here

I work from three simple but powerful values, TNT: Traceability, Nature, and Transparency.
Not because they are trends, but because I want to know where our food comes from, who grows it, and how we can act more responsibly with that knowledge.

Working with people who share that same mindset farmers who care for their land, artisans who take their craft seriously, and fishermen who combine skill with respect these are our Bali Heroes.

Three concepts, one vision

In the Syrco BASÈ restaurant, I share the story of Bali’s land and culture.
The menu is built around the people and products that inspire me: honest, ingredient-driven, and deeply connected to the place we stand.

TheSyrco BASÈ bar showcases Ubud’s rich botanical traditions.
We work with ingredients from our regenerative garden, creating flavors that reflect the rhythms of this island.

In the Syrco BASÈ shop, we celebrate craftsmanship.
Everything you find there comes from local makers we collaborate with people who keep their heritage alive.

And then there is KU culinary atelier, my most intimate way of cooking.
With only 12 guests around the counter, I can share exactly how and why I do things. The kitchen becomes a space for dialogue, inspiration, and discovery. KU is refined, but above all, it is about awareness.

What matters to me

Syrco BASÈ Ubud is not just a restaurant. It is my way of contributing to something larger than myself.
A place where we treat what the earth gives us with care.
Where young talent can grow.
Where tradition and innovation meet.
Where every day is different, because nature is too.
